You should desire it very much and if you desire it you'll get it sooner or later, but it shouldn't become your obsession. You can vizualize your desires and look at them every day and you'll get. But you should know what exactky you want.

Stop competing with others but rather compete with your self. I admire those people who see their competition as colleagues and not someone to step on. It's more healthy than pointing out your competition's flaws. Identifying your weakness and ironing them would be great to achieve what you want the legit and ethical way.
